Full Bio
Silvio Berlfein is the founder of GES — Group Engagement Specialists — and one of the most experienced group facilitators working in corporate, camp, and educational settings today. With 25+ years in the field, he has designed and led programs for Fortune 500 companies, summer camps, Jewish day schools, and major conferences, reaching groups of up to 500 participants across the US, Latin America, and Europe.
On the corporate side, Silvio has partnered with Axialent to deliver leadership and team development programs for companies including CISCO, Microsoft, General Motors, HP, and DHL eCommerce — working across multiple countries including the US, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, France, Scotland, and England. His sessions are built around experiential learning: body percussion, movement, rhythm, and game-based activities that shift group dynamics fast and make the learning stick.
In the education space, Silvio delivers professional development for teachers and administrators, and has facilitated at major conferences including the PJ Library Conference in Springfield, MA. For over 20 years, he served as Program Director at NJY Camps — one of the largest Jewish overnight camps in the country — where he trained large international staff teams and built programming that became a model in the field. He continues to consult for camps nationwide on staff engagement and orientation.
Silvio holds a degree in Physical Education and Recreation, is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and is also a recognized Israeli dance choreographer — a background that informs his movement-based approach to facilitation.
